Window Arts Malden 2012: Call to Artists to Exhibit Work in the Fall

Seeking artists, windows, and sponsors for Window Arts Malden 2012, scheduled to take place September 23-October 14, 2012 and celebrating it’s 7th season. Artists are invited to submit proposals for exhibition of 2 or 3 dimensional art. While the jury will give preference to proposals from artists who live or work in Malden, artists who reside in neighboring towns—Everett, Revere, Melrose, Saugus, Lynn, and Medford—are also invited to participate. The deadline for proposals is July 5, 2012.
Window Arts Malden will match artists with Downtown Malden locations (storefronts and other appropriate sites) where they will exhibit their work. Artists are asked to consider the specific business’s window space for their final window design. An evening reception during the exhibit will provide an opportunity to socialize and celebrate the arts in Malden.
Window Arts Malden will infuse the city’s center with quality art, stimulate activity and commerce in the downtown area, and strengthen community bonds around the arts.
