Malden Artist: Sharon Santillo
Sharon Santillo moved to Malden in 2004 and is a member of Malden Arts, Malden Sketch Group, Bike to the Sea, and MATV. She is an artist, a writer, and a teacher with a passion for teaching children of all ages to write from their art. With over 20 years experience offering professional development, she has given presentations on art and writing at conferences and workshops both in Massachusetts and internationally. Her teaching in Poland and with nonnative English speakers has honed her visual and modeling approaches to teaching. Skilled at pulling together resources, she regularly studies and prepares in order to integrate other disciplines into the visual arts. Three examples of a science/visual art project are shown below.
